A journey from there to here.
First and foremost, welcome to our new website. The journey to the creation of this site has been interesting to say the least, but finally after two years we super happy with this site to call our own. A site to show the world our work, and the journey we take to create it.
The long time readers of our old blog may have noticed the huge drop off in the number of posts in the tail end of 2010. Its not that we weren’t working, we were still shooting as much, if not more then usual. However something happened to us, we started feeling stagnant, stuck in a rut, it was something we needed to bust out of.
We have spent the past 5 months or so focusing on the core of our business. After 5 full wedding seasons, it was time to sit down and figure out our business. We were starting to get frustrated with the status quo. Sure we could happily continue on the path we have been on for 5 years, it has been working of course, but the last thing we ever want to be is stagnant. Our work is dynamic, and so should our business.
After much discussion, notes on scraps of paper, and maybe a few arguments (we’re married too lol) we feel refreshed. We feel we have discovered the core values we want our business to be built on. We want grow, and build around love, adventure, and life. We have spent time refining our work flow as well, meaning we can get the best quality product to our wonderful couples, in a very realistic time frame. For you, that means less waiting, more awesome, and for most of us, this is a match made in heaven =)
With the launch of our new site, we will be changing the way we post, and what we post about. Our old site focused directly on our work. As we clicked through our old blog, we realized that people didn’t have the opportunity to get to know us, what inspires us, and what drives us. With our new site, we want you to get to know us.
We plan to post not only about the incredibly unique weddings we have the pleasure of attending, but also more about us, and what makes us tick. Almost daily some small moment inspires us, be it the steam slowly but deliberately billowing from the spout of a tea pot, or the sun setting on the horizon, and we want to share this with you. We hope that the things that inspire us, inspire you, and possibly inspire you to slow down a little, and enjoy those little moments.
