First flights

A couple weekends ago, we got to have a little fun, we got to take our sister in law on a birthday flight (first time in a small plane,) but also our 3 year old nephew Cole got to come along as well. For me (Jake) personally, I remember vividly my first airplane ride. I was about 4 or 5 and got to fly with my mom to go visit my grandparents in Ontario. This was way back when, when kids were allowed to go first the flight crew in the cockpit, and see how this giant thing actually works. From that day forward I was absolutely enthralled by the idea of flight, being in the sky, dancing around, free…

Our nephew I think had very much the same reaction. From the point our wheels left the ground, he sat with an ear to ear grin. It would be neat to know what the thoughts in his head were. How does someone so young comprehend the idea of flying?

Tea for two

It seemed rather fitting to do a post about tea today with all the chatter about the Royal Wedding. A few months ago we discovered a new tea shop here in the city called, Davids Tea. We were extremely intrigued by the incredible variety of teas they had on the shelf, and decided to give it a whirl. One word; AMAZING!! I myself, Jake, have always been a very big coffee drinker, however some of the tea they have is incredible! Don’t think stuffy tea, think fun, flavorful tea. We frequent the shop about once a month to stock up on our favs, however they release lots of special seasonal teas every little bit as well.

If you haven’t been, check it out, their staff is amazing, and will definitely help you find something that tickles your fancy. Also so if you’re looking for a unique wedding favor, they also do those! Info on that here.

Also on a side, small world, personal note. It turns out the best man from our own wedding, is currently completing his MBA with David’s brother.

Tara + Jamie

Once upon a time we met a couple named Tara and Jamie. The moment they walked in the door, the visions of their wedding flew through our minds. They are two of the most down to earth people we have ever met… they are creative, honest, fun loving, and just plain awesome to be around. We were beyond excited to work with them, and can’t thank them enough for having us join them on their wedding day.
